Job Descriptions for Meet Volunteers
Each family must fill a minimum of 125 volunteer points (5-half sessions). Your goal should be 125+ points to ensure meets run smoothly.
Facility Set-up and Breakdown
Each shift covers half the meet (1st / 2nd Half) - 25 points per Half
Each home meet, the Aquatic Center will need to be set-up for the meet course and the PA system. At the end of each home meet the Aquatic Center will have to be restored to it original set-up.
There are Pre-Meet and Post-Meet positions for facility set-up.

Concessions
Each shift covers half the meet (1st / 2nd Half) - 25 points per Half
MPST concessions sales dinner items, snacks, and drinks during our home meets only.
Heat Winner Coupons are managed from concessions also.
Heat Sheet sales are located in the lobby during home meets only and this position is only open during 1st half, for 13 points per Half.

Bullpen
Each shift covers half the meet (1st / 2nd Half) - 25 points per Half
Keep assigned age-group of swimmers together in designated area.
Make sure swimmers get to the staging area in time for their events. Remain with their swimmers until the end of the shift/meet and make sure swimmers clean up all trash and snacks before they leave.

Staging
Each shift covers half the meet (1st / 2nd Half) - 25 points per Half
Event Tracker: Tracker must always display the event that is in the water.
Staging Tracker: Tracker must always display, to the bullpen, the event that should be in staging.
Staging Staff: Staging staff will be posted to one or more of the tasks below. Patience and organization needed, for all Staging positions.
Greeter - Call swimmers in the per-staging area, to move to staging, making sure swimmers are sorted by heat/by lane.
Seater - Seat the swimmers in their chairs, based on heats and lane position.
Runner - Getting the kids from staging chairs to the pool lanes.
Deckhand - Assist in getting children into the right lane and chair at the block side of pool (This is especially important with the younger children and relay meets)

Computer Room
Each shift covers half the meet (1st / 2nd Half) - 25 points per Half
Runners - Collect time-sheets form the timers and bring to CR-Sorter.

Sorters - Put all time-sheets in event order and presents to data entry.
(ONLY @ Home Meets)
Data Entry - Enters the swimmers times in the computer and presents to verifier. Prints Meet Results and Ribbon Labels. (ONLY @ Home Meets)
Verifier - Quality Controls all times entered for swimmers. Report discrepancies to data entry for correction. (ONLY @ Away Meets)
Ribbons - Places labels on ribbons and places ribbons in swimmers folders.

Timers
Each shift covers half the meet (1st / 2nd Half) - 25 points per Half
Use a stopwatch to time each swimmer's event.
Verify name of swimmer with the name on the time-sheet where time will be recorded.

Stroke and Turn Judges
Each shift covers half the meet (1st / 2nd Half) - 25 points per Half
This position requires Training and Certification.
Watch swimmers strokes and turns for compliance to regulations.
