Last Dual Meet tomorrow

Good morning, Sharks,

Tomorrow will be the last meet. We hope more swimmers will make it to the county tomorrow. I copied the email here from the other team about the meet: Swimmers should be on the pool deck no later than 5:15, Volunteer meeting: 5:35 pm

Let us goooo Sharks!

"Hello, We are super excited to be hosting the Mountain Park Sharks on Thursday. I wanted to send you this information about the swim meet. Once you arrive at our facility, you will notice that we are under construction. Please have your parents follow the swim meet parking signs to the bottom lot where the soccer fields are. We will have spaces for anyone needing close parking, but they are very limited. When your team arrives, there is no need to go through the building. We will have an entrance on the side of the building to enter our indoor pool. Please have your team follow the signs to direct them to the entrance for the pool. The theme for this meet is Under the Sea. Your team is more than welcome to participate with us. Address: 2985 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30045

  • We will allow all swimmers and parents on the pool deck starting at 4:45 PM
  • Dolphins warm-up: 5:10-5:30 pm
  • MPST warm-up: 5:30-5:50 pm
  • Volunteer meeting: 5:35 pm
  • National Anthem: 5:55 pm
  • Meet will start: 6 pm

Concessions will be available, including hot dogs, nachos, drinks, candy, and chips. We will also have Kona Ice at the meeting. Please let your parents know that we are only accepting cash. (Your coaches will receive one meal ticket.) For seating and team areas, we will have a small grass area outside that can be used for parent/ overflow seating. We will have a team area behind the starters' table. Your team will have a bleacher and the hot tube area that will be used for swimmers only. The parents are only allowed to sit on the side of the pool where the glass windows are. We do have concrete bleachers, and we do allow chairs on one side as well. At the y, we have a youth and teen safety policy to keep youth and adults separated, especially in the bathrooms. There are porta potties outside that will be used for all adults. Swimmers can use the bathrooms on the pool deck. We do have a parent volunteer who will act as our bathroom monitor. Due to limited spacing, please mention to your parents that if they are not volunteering, they are not allowed in the team area; only swimmers, coaches, and volunteers. Inclement weather: for any inclement weather in the area, we will still need to evacuate the pool and the pool deck. We will ask all families and swimmers to head to their vehicles and wait for any information.
